Flip or Not Flip

                                                  Reflection about flip or not flip the classroom

The most powerful reason that I found about the importance of flipping my classroom is connected to the six principles of the language “know your students”. This principle establish that it is very important to know our students in order to provide them with the necessary tools that allow students to develop an appropriate learning process.  I have seen in my classroom that my students have different style of learning, behavior, necessities, and probably different problems than when we used to be student. So in this case, the principle “know your students” has help me to comprehend that my students were born in digital era, which make them to have more interest in technology than traditional things. Moreover, if flipping speaks language of today´s students then I have a reason to flip my classroom because making use of technological tools is more easy for me to communicate with my students inside and outside of my classroom. Flipping my classroom allow me as teacher to develop more interactive classes where I don´t have the necessity to speak and speak for three or four hours a day and in that way to prevent my students from getting bored by the use of a traditional and obsolete method. Flipping my classroom, I can give those students who din´t understand me or my lessons in a determined moment, the opportunity to complement areas of the lesson that I couldn´t cover and to have another resources that allow them to improve their understanding.
